How do you rate a place like this? It’s not perfect but it is perfect. It is a fabulous golf course with the wind and rain playing a major part in your round. It’s wide open sheep filled fairways where the ball will roll 100yards are balanced off by the tight small greens with plenty of hidden borrows to discover after you’ve putted. It’s wonderful. It’s not perfect but it’s perfect for what it is. Club house is small and friendly, practice facilities virtually non existent and club pro doing the best they can with some lovely merchandise to buy if you like that sort of thing. Would I play it again? Of course I would and again and again because every day is a new challenge

They have really upgraded this place in recent years. It’s such a stunning and unique setting. Truly feel you’re playing the game as it was intended. Very special for me as last time I shot a personal best and broke 80 (no double bogeys!), so I bought a driver cover! 😜 …

Amazing golf course. Lovely club house and friendly staff. Very challenging blind tee shots but the views…….wow. Greens were great and fairways well maintained. Electric fences round the green to stop the roaming sheep was a funny touch.

This place is quite quirky being situated on top of a massive hill you need to pick your day to play with caution, as you've got a good chance of getting blown off the hill. Greens were brilliant and the course had lots of interesting holes as you climb to the summit. I used a electric trolley but in hindsight would have been better with half a set slung over the shoulder. Food afterwards was top notch with attention to detail and delivered to the table with a smile... thanks.

Superb golf course on common land. Hard on the legs, harder with a trolley. Holes into the wind are very tough, fortunately closing holes are with the wind and make for a kinder finish. Think of an inland Tralee and you are not far off. A must play.
